Click one of your soldiers on the map, or his card on the left, or press keys 1 to 8.

Click where he goes

Click anywhere on the map and he walks there. SNEAK is slow and quiet, MOVE is fast. Click a guard to mark him, then press SILENT SHOT or TAKEDOWN.

Press GO

Time runs. The game pauses itself when a guard hears something, so you can re-plan. Press GO again to continue.

Red cones are what guards can see. Stay out of them. Not sure what to do? The green NEXT STEP bar at the top always suggests a good move: press DO IT and the captain gives that order for you.

HOW TO PLAY

THE BASICS

Click a soldier, click where he goes, press GO. That is the whole game.
The game starts paused. Press SPACE or GO to run time, press again to pause and re-plan.
Drag a box to select several soldiers. Shift+click queues extra waypoints.
The green NEXT STEP bar suggests the next good move. Press DO IT and it happens.

STEALTH

Red cones are what guards can see. Walls block sight. SNEAK is slow but hard to spot.
TAKEDOWN sneaks a soldier behind the nearest guard for a silent kill.
SILENT SHOT fires the sniper's suppressed rifle at the marked or nearest visible guard. WATCH & FIRE waits for a patrol to appear.
Suppressed guns are quiet; the M249, Mk 48 and shotgun alert the whole camp. Bodies left in the open get found.

THE MISSION

CAPTURE sends a soldier to cuff KHANJAR in N2. He runs for a vehicle if the alarm goes up.
PLANT C4 sends the breacher to the cache in S1. Detonate with X when you are clear; it is loud.
TO LZ sends everyone to the helicopter in the north-east. Everyone there plus the HVT equals mission complete.

A fortified hill camp holds the cell commander KHANJAR and a weapons cache. Thirteen hostiles: two towers, four patrols, seven sentries. You insert from the south-west wadi at night. A helicopter picks you up at the LZ in the north-east.

1Cuff KHANJAR in building N2 (alive is best; dead still counts).

2Plant C4 on the weapons cache in building S1 and detonate it.

3Bring everyone, and KHANJAR, to the LZ.

★Bonus: stay undetected until the blast. Rating GHOST.

DIFFICULTY

YOUR SQUAD

Suggested plan: the sniper takes the north-west ridge and drops the Tower A guard. Your SMG operators take down the patrols from behind. You cuff KHANJAR, the breacher rigs the cache, and everyone leaves through the north side.
